The
efficacy and upkeep of pearls
1. The fresh pearl sotains crystalline calcium carbonate and
28 kinds of trace elements such as selenium and germanium,etc.
They are all anticancer and anti-ageing substances, and have
obvious curative effect in treating thyroidism and chromic pharygitis.

2. Pearl ornaments should avoid exposure to acid-alkali substances
and high temperature. They should also avoid direct exposure

Differences between
fresh water pearls and sea waterpearls
1. The fresh water pearls cones from the direct grafting of
thin membrane cells of the outer membrane of the fresh water
pearls, usually through cultivation of 2～3 years, the longest
cultivation period being 8～9 years or 10 years. It internal
charcteristic is the concentric radiation-layer structure. Fresh
water pearls can be used to produce pearl protection series,
etc. However, only one stone from inside the pearl can be utilized
throgh grafting.
2. Fresh water pearls come in many kinds of shapes, most of
them being circular. There are also semic-circular, flat of
pear-shaped. But the sea water pearls is only one of the circular
shaped.
3. The glossiness of the fresh water pearls is good. It looks
glittering, while the water pearl's glossiness is usually relatively
poor.
Disermination of
fresh water and pearl imitation and dyed pearls
1. When rubbing two pearls againse each other, the pearl imitation
feels slippery, while the real pearl feels unsmooth. When rubbing
glass with pearls, the pearl imitation leaves no scratches,
while the real pearl leaves scratches of pearl pewder. When
the real pearls is slightly cut with a knife, it produces pearl
powder. Then, after the powder is wiped off with cotton cloth
or hand, you can feel that it is no damaged.
2. The dyed pearl's glossiness is usually relatively poor. It
looks unnatural. It appears tray and black. If you use a cloth
soaked with a little 5% thin nitric acid, the cloth will be
stained with black stains.
How to discriminate
the goodness of pearl ornaments?
A string of high quality pearl ornament if normally full of
glittering, and is shines with dazzling brilliance. For the
sake of glossiness, you shoukd choose those with strong pearl
gloss and with the feeling of internal reflected light. Pearls
of different colors suit different skin colors. The main colors
of pearls are red white color with a bit of rose,white color
golden yellow color, black color with purple color, etc. In
terms of shape, usually those good roundness and with no surface
defects should be your choice. As for the size, you should select
the big one(s). In the aspect of processing technology, you
should select those with beautiful and dignified shape and with
